Una McKevitt is an Irish writer and director working in theatre, comedy, publishing and television. Her recent play Fair Deal premiered at the Abbey Theatre Peacock Stage in spring 2026 and sold out a seven-week run. It was called “an absolute hoot” (The Irish Times), “an instant classic” (Sunday Independent) and “a brilliantly original romp” (Irish Mail on Sunday).

Her other theatre work includes One Good Turn, commissioned by the Abbey and staged on its main stage in June 2021. Directed by Emma Jordan, it was praised by The Guardian for turning “ordinariness artfully shaped into 80 minutes” and by the Sunday Business Post as “a thrilling return to live theatre for the Abbey.”

As a live podcast director, Una directed the arena-stage tour of My Therapist Ghosted Me (Global), starring Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally, and the 2023–24 Irish tour of the Spencer & Vogue podcast. Recently, she directed the after-show for the London premiere of Alice & Steve with Disney Plus UK.

Una often collaborates with comedians. She directed Joanne McNally’s one-woman show Bite Me and her stand-up The Prosecco Express. She co-created the play Madhouse (2018) with PJ Gallagher and edited his memoir of the same name published by Penguin Random House in 2023. Madhouse is being developed as an animated series with D11 Stories. Most recently she edited Vogue Williams’s memoir Big Mouth, published by HarperCollins UK in May 2025.

Una lives in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
