Una McKevitt is an Irish writer and director whose career spans theatre, comedy and publishing as well as developing original TV series both independently and in collaboration.

Una’s most recent play Fair Deal premiered at The Abbey Theatre on the Peacock Stage in Spring 2026. Selling out it’s 7 week run the play was praised as an ‘Absolute Hoot’ by the Irish Times, ‘An Instant Classic’ by The Sunday Independent and a ‘Brilliantly Original Romp’ by the Irish Mail on Sunday. Una's theatre work also includes One Good Turn. Commissioned by the Abbey Theatre it premiered on its main stage in June 2021. Directed by Emma Jordan, the play was praised by The Guardian for its “ordinariness artfully shaped into 80 minutes,” and by The Sunday Business Post as ‘a thrilling return to live theatre for the Abbey.’

As a live podcast director, Una’s work includes the arena stage show of the hugely successful podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me (Global), starring Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally. In 2023/24, she directed the Irish stage tour of the Spencer & Vogue Podcast (Global), featuring Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews. Corporate collaborations include directing the after show for the London Premiere of Alice and Steve with Disney Plus UK.

Collaborations with comedians have been a defining feature of Una’s career. She has worked with Joanne McNally on several projects, directing Joanne’s one-woman theatre show Bite Me and her smash stand-up show The Prosecco Express. She has worked with PJ Gallagher co-creating the acclaimed production Madhouse (2018), developing it as an animated series with D11 Stories and editing his memoir of the same name, published by Penguin Random House in 2023. Most recently Una edited Big Mouth by presenter and podcaster Vogue Williams, published by HarperCollins UK in May 2025.
